A weekday outing with new friend Niti to Kaimana Beach, a lovely, quiet little stretch of beach just a bit further down from bustling Waikiki Beach.
Waikiki sunset.
Morning hike up Diamond Head — very touristy, but a nice, easy hike to do before my afternoon shift at the smoothie shop.
What I wouldn’t do to have a home on that shore…
View from the top.
Dinner at Spices, a highly recommended Southeast Asian restaurant.
Burmese noodle entree.
A Friday visit to Sandy Beach Park, an awesome, awesome beach with crazy powerful waves that are prime for body surfing. Even Obama does it! We (wisely) decided not to go fully in. Instead, I laid out and played with some dogs while Eaman played soccer.
The Kapiolani Community College farmers market, held every Saturday. Our day consisted of: super delicious pizza (homemade pesto, hand-stretched mozzarella and local tomatoes), Vietnamese iced coffee and cinnamon rolls with a backpack full of asparagus, pineapples and exotic fruits to bike home with.
I can’t remember what this was, but it was fried and apparently, very popular.
I’m so glad you guys are loving Waikiki. Your blog brings back so many memories. Go to Duke’s for their Caesar salad. I know it’s touristy but I loved it. Aloha!
Looks amazing. So very jealous of the both of you. Eaman – it was great seeing you last week! Archana – you need to come next time.
It is certainly paradise here…so glad you’re following along! And I was so bummed I missed you guys last weekend. Sounds like it was a blast!
You are SO living out my Blue Crush fantasies… and as if I don’t say it enough, you look beeeeyoutiful in your pictures! Hawaii is suiting you, and it look gorgeous! Keep the posts coming
Thank you, F! To be fair, I’m not sure how anyone couldn’t be smiling at all times here. And tomorrow I’m making attempt #2 at surfing. Totally channeling some Kate Bosworth-cheesy-movie-ness.
Beautiful! Love the photo posts!!!
Thanks, Tan! Always love to know you’re following along with us
Arch the pictures of you and the yellow lab are cracking me up…it looks like the dog took your picture.
Oh god, you are so right. Freudian slip?
